Public Transport

Whether travelling by train, bus, bicycle or ferry, there are a number of ways to get to the 20th Biennale.

Travel is FREE to the Biennale when using your Opal card (if you have used 8 trips in a week).

All of the major locations are easily accessible from public transport points. Use the online Trip Planner to plan your visit.

  • An Opal card is the most convenient option for travelling on public transport to and from the multiple exhibition locations of the 20th Biennale. Load value onto your card and simply tap your way across trains, buses and ferries. Discounts apply for off-peak travel. After 8 trips in a week, travel is unlimited and free of charge.
  • From January 2016 discounted paper tickets will no longer be sold from Sydney Transport. The Pensioner Excursion Ticket is available with a Gold Senior/Pensioner Opal Card, with travel capped at $2.50 per day. With the frequent use rewards, an Opal card could cost you even less than a paper ticket.

Transport Info 131500 provides detailed transport information for trains, buses and ferries.
