The 20th Biennale has come to a close and we are proud to present the Student Newspaper!
The 20th Biennale Student Newspaper responds to the 2016 exhibition by bringing together 15 individual and collaborative contributions by 19 students from 6 schools across NSW, as selected by the Biennale team out of a pool of 50 submissions. Download the 20th Biennale Student Newspaper to read creative and critical responses to the Biennale’s Embassies, artists, artworks and audiences as penned by some of the Biennale’s most engaged audiences.
20th Biennale Student Newspaper
For each exhibition, the Biennale of Sydney produces and prints a free broadsheet Student Newspaper for secondary school students. The Student Newspaper contains information about the Biennale and the current exhibition’s theme, ideas, artists and artworks.
For the first time, the Biennale invites secondary school students to develop and write content for the 20th Biennale student newspaper!
Featured submissions will be highlighted on the 20th Biennale website during the exhibition, and an editorial panel will come together at the close of the Biennale to select a number of outstanding submissions for the printed broadsheet publication. The final Student Newspaper will be made available the end of the Biennale.
This is an excellent opportunity for students to not only present their ideas about the exhibition – sharing their thoughts, research and experiences with fellow students and the wider Biennale audience – but also to have their work published by one of Australia’s most significant international contemporary art events.
Download the Start-Off document for more information on how to submit work for the 20th Biennale Student Newspaper.
