Biennale Project Patrons assist directly in realising each Artistic Director’s vision. This essential financial support enables ambitious artist projects in Sydney, which otherwise may not be realised.

Visionary individuals – along with national and international organisations – make financial contributions towards the development of an artist’s practice and bring new commissions to life. This support is of crucial importance for each Biennale and the vitality of contemporary art in Australia.Project Patrons contribute a fully tax deductible donation of $25,000+ to directly support Biennale projects. In recognition of this generous support, they are acknowledged on the exhibition label and in a variety of publications, including the exhibition catalogue and the Biennale Free Guide, as well as the Biennale’s website and on the supported project’s exhibition label. The Biennale ensures that Project Patrons have a unique experience of the program, securing them access to the exhibition, artists and our extensive international and national networks. This includes joining a private tour of the exhibition with the Artistic Director, and, where possible, the opportunity to meet the artist(s) they have assisted to discuss their work, in-depth and privately.
