2004 Biennale of Sydney records great attendances and critical acclaim
After an intense and powerful 10 weeks of celebration of the best and boldest in Australian and international contemporary art, the 2004 Biennale of Sydney closed on Sunday 15 August.

In 2004, the Biennale of Sydney continues to build on the strengths of the organisation's 30 year history - with attendances across all venues and events exceeding those recorded for the 2002 Biennale; critical praise for the exhibition and program; and increased funding.

The 2004 Biennale of Sydney has attracted substantial media coverage and Australia's government and corporate leaders have endorsed the success of the event.
