20th Biennale of Sydney artist duo, Karen Mirza and Brad Butler, have been announced as one of the recipients of the 21st annual Paul Hamlyn Foundation Award for Artists for their work in the Visual Arts on 10 November 2015.

Paul Hamlyn Foundation is based in London, United Kingdom and Awards for Artists is the largest individual awards made to visual artists and composers in the UK, in which winners will receive £50,000 over the period of three years to support their work and practice in the creative sector.

Karen Mirza and Brad Butler will take over Artspace on the 20th Biennale of Sydney, from 18 March to 5 June 2015, to host the Embassy of Non-Participation, presenting a body of work that considers how the act of ‘non-participation’ might also be an active and critical position.
