The Biennale of Sydney is seeking a Guest Relations Assistant to join the team. As an important part of the Benefaction team, this position will work on the planning, execution and evaluation of the 20th Biennale of Sydney Opening Week Program, including activities of the Biennale’s VIP, Friends and Benefaction Programs.
The Guest Relations Assistant reports to the Head of Benefaction, and works closely with the Benefaction Manager. In addition, the position works with Marketing, Sponsorship, Public Programs and Education, Exhibition, and Administration teams.
The position offers the rare opportunity to work in a small team and be involved with participating Australian and international artists and visitors in the delivery of one of the largest exhibitions of contemporary art in the Asia-Pacific region. The successful applicant will be part of a team of highly motivated, specialist staff and play a key role in the organisation. A proven track record in coordinating events, a keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required.
Anticipated to commence on 23 November 2015, this is a full-time fixed-term contract position to 15 April 2016. Total package is $50,753 pro rata (inc 9.5% employer’s superannuation contribution.)
