The Biennale of Sydney is seeking a Communication Designer, to work on the campaign roll out for the 20th Biennale of Sydney (2016), alongside the Biennale’s design agency, For The People. Applications close Thursday, 3 September 2015. Download the Information Package for more information.

The successful applicant will be part of a team of highly motivated, specialist staff and play a key role in the organisation. A proven track record in designing for arts organisations, a keen attention to detail and experience in designing for print and digital is required.

The Communication Designer is a crucial part of the Marketing team, working on the production and delivery of the 20th Biennale of Sydney marketing campaign. The Communication Designer is based at the Biennale office and reports directly to the Head of Marketing. The position offers the rare opportunity to work in a small team and be involved with participating Australian and international artists and visitors in the delivery of one of the largest exhibitions of contemporary art in the AsiaPacific region. The position works closely with the Head of Marketing, Marketing Coordinator, Digital Media Producer, Curator and Manager of Public Programs and Education, Public Program and Education Coordinator and the Publications Coordinator. In addition, the position works with the Artistic Director, Chief Executive Officer and the Exhibition, Sponsorship, Benefaction and Finance and Administration teams.

This is a contract position related to the 2016 event for a 7-month period, commencing 28 September 2015. Salary package for the position is $60,225 (including 9.5% employer’s superannuation contribution.)
