BIENNALE OF SYDNEY ANNOUNCES RICHARD FROLICH AS BOARD MEMBER

We are pleased to announce Richard Frolich as a Board Director of the Biennale of Sydney,’ said Chairman Luca Belgiorno-Nettis. ‘A dedicated and widely respected patron of Australian contemporary visual art, with a strategic marketing background, Richard will be a valuable asset to the Biennale of Sydney.’

Richard Frolich said: ‘I am pleased to join the Board and excited to contribute to the Biennale of Sydney, a leading international contemporary art festival and Australia’s premiere visual arts event. I look forward to working with the Biennale’s Board and staff in steering the organisation towards future growth and success.’

Adelaide company director Richard Frolich is an accomplished businessman with more than 35 years experience. Richard is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Frolich Group of Companies, which include fresh flower distribution and property investment. 

Richard has been an enthusiastic supporter of the visual arts for 30 years. He was the founding chair of the Art Gallery of South Australia’s successful Contemporary Collectors benefaction group, a Board Member and treasurer of the Melbourne Art Foundation, and a key driver and supporter of the Australian Visual Arts Awards. He is a patron of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, the Art Gallery of South Australia and several other organisations in theatre and the visual arts. He is also a member of the Venice Commissioner’s Council 2013.
