
The Biennale of Sydney is assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.
‘The Biennale of Sydney is one of the most exciting contemporary art events in Australia’s cultural calendar. Since 1976, the Australia Council for the Arts has been there, consistently supporting this important forum for artistic dialogue and international cultural exchange. The Biennale has brought stimulating developments in contemporary visual culture to the Australian community, as well as provided a platform for our own dynamic visual arts talent.
